Pedro Bermúdez is a filmmaker working at the intersection of cinema, theater, and immersive media. He has produced the Emmy-award winning documentary, Collision Course (CT Public) and recently co-directed a production of Sanctuary City (Theaterworks), together with Long Wharf Artistic Director Jacob Padrón. Bermúdez manages the Digital Design Commons at Wesleyan University, where he also teaches virtual production and videography. He has collaborated closely with arts and culture institutions across Connecticut, and recently completed a series of video installations for the Wadsworth’s acclaimed Styling Identities exhibit. In 2021, Bermúdez co-directed a production of The Sound Inside, together with Rob Ruggiero, that was featured in The New York Times as a Critic’s Pick. He received his MFA in Directing from the American Film Institute, where he was mentored by Frank Pierson and Gill Dennis. While at AFI, he was the recipient of the Petrie Award for excellence.
